I consider them to be word play, not puns. I bet that a lot of people will consider them puns, though. Well, at least the game should be fun! Right? ... Anyone?

The difference between "word play" and "pun" is here so negligible as to be irrelevant.

The malaria mechanic sounds intriguing.

Y'know, when I look at the name again, I think that it is, in fact a pun. I suppose that word play thing was a pretty stupid, too.

PS: Sorry to disappoint, but Malaria is a planet, not a game mechanic.  Wink

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to mention that the game is coming along swimmingly. Smiley

This looks like it will be great fun. I'm not a huge Starfox fan though so I'm not really sure if Malaria is a parody of something from Starfox?

Fun idea, loved the original Starwing (Starfox wasn't allowed as name in Europe because Atari beat the chase by 10 years). Will their be non-subdivided cuboid bosses as well?

Planet name suggestion:
Denim (instead of Venom)

No Skippy-esque characters, right? Right!?

Looks interesting. It'd be good to see any screens/concepts, though, to get a sense of the style.
